Ruby Tuesday: Ruby rings
Wow, it is Ruby Tuesday again and my entry for this week is my two ruby rings. My mother gave this to me -sniff-sniff- (she passed away 10 yrs ago). I keep this two in real good shape, I tell you I don't wear this much I just want to look at it and remember those memories I had with my Mama -sniff-sniff- . My mama and me didn't fall on the month that ruby is the birthstone, mine is diamond while my mom is emerald but she has this two ruby rings and she loves it that much she gave it to me when she already got sick. Isn't it pretty red but what makes it more pretty is the story behind and the memories that I am going to treasure for the rest of my life.
Please excuse me for my an-manicured fingernails hehehe it's red too -wink-wink-

An achievement!!
Few more days would be Thanksgiving day and after that it would be Black Friday. Hubby and I already bought our big bird a 10 pounder but some of the ingredients for some dish that I will cook is not yet bought. I also haven't finalize my menu yet but hubby suggested that last years dish was really good but I like to have variations. We are using prepaid mastercard . So I am searching for more recipe that for me looks like easy to cook and for one thing it should be delicious.
Last, Saturday me and my friends went to the mall to do some shopping. The mall is already getting packed of people sometimes just by looking at the long line makes you frustrated because it takes time and you still want to to go another store but you can not. Too short a time too many stuff to look at ^_^. Anyhow, I like to bring cash when shopping specially going to the mall it is easy to pay for the stuff you purchase and no more signing or asking for telephone numbers and worst some ask your last 4 numbers of your social security?? Hmm, when I happened to be ask that, I feel so uncomfortable who knows who is listening right? In this time you don't know who is lurking around trying to find someone to be a victim of identity theft. I was behind in line with my friend and we are discussing about shopping if we brought us cash or any kind of card. My friend told us that she is using Prepaid debit card and his husband use prepaid credit card. I asked here if that is the same website that we could the Prepaid mastercard and she says YES!!
Well for her who really do love shopping she like the services this prepaid debit card do to her. She feels safe because she didn't bring cash and she can monitor her spending which is for me the most important to do in shopping monitoring how much we spend. So this other friend of mine asked us what is that and we suggested to her to go look at prepaid debit card website because she could find anything that answers her question. Actually it is easy to get prepaid debit card or prepaid credit card it is like counting 1, 2 and 3 and voila you are safe when you are shopping online or at stores and the bonus part is you don't over spend this holiday season. So visit the prepaid mastercard and enjoy your holiday season!!

Wanted: TV Provider
I had a hard time figuring out why the cable tv company are too expensive when they have the same show with other tv provider like Direct TV!! My hubby and I like to watch shows on tv but hubby is more on news, sports etc, while I like to watch, aside from news, cooking shows, movie and tv series. I asked hubby what is the difference between the Satellite directv and the cable, well he says there are not much difference though, he says as long as the price is lower that is what matters most this days.
So we decided to change from cable to direct tv satellite for the fact that it is cheaper and it has more channels to watch too. And what makes me more excited is that Direct TV has DVR!! My oh my if I miss a show I could just easily record it and voila had my shows right just like on time. Then they are in high definition now, you still can watch your local channels, and more international channels. So check it out and change your provider to Direct TV you save money as well as you enjoy many channels too. Direct Satellite TV is the best!!

Dinuguan at Binangkal
I was off for few hours today because I went to my friends house, it was Michelle's 25th birthday. The weather is gloomy the sun didn't come out but the food is great lol!! I only took a picture of dinuguan (pork blood stew) and binangkal. It was really great I do missed dinuguan so much lalo na with puto, hay sira na naman ang diet. But heck forget the diet ika nga once a year lang naman ata ako makakain nang pork blood stew or dinuguan so I allow myself to enjoy the food. Of course after everybody had eaten and it was bye bye time, bring house moment na naman. Here are the pictures that I took.
Binangkal's recipe:
1. Mix the number 2 to 7 ingredients in a bowl.
2. Then mix the all purpose flour. Mixed it well.
3. Form a small ball (not too big because when it is fried it will expand) then roll it to the sesame seed. At least press the sesame seed so it won't not detached when frying (but some seeds do)
4. Then deep fry to a low medium heat. The oil should not be too hot because it will cause to burn easily the sesame seed and the inside is not yet cook.
That's it ciao!!

Halo-halo
I've been craving for halo-halo. I only wish that we have here in MI Chowking because I like there halo-halo. But this picture I got it from another restaurant back in my hometown. The young coconut is cut almost half, but the young meat is not taken out and they put all the ingredients to make halo-halo and you will be the one to scrape the young coconut to mix it with the ingredients. It is really yummy and I just love the taste. Hay wish ko lang talaga.

YummySunday: Kinilaw
Today I missed KINILAW so much. I took this picture the last time I visited Philippines. The fish is what we call Malasugue. This fish as white meat compare to tuna which is a little pinkish. Malasugue is a bit pricey but it is really good for Kinilaw. My brother prepare all the ingredients, like spring green onion, chili or sili na halang, kalamansi, tabon2x, lime, salt then vinegar. Before he washed the fish with vinegar and squeeze it a little bit but now he made it differently he never touched the fish but it has to be fresh then just mixed everything season it and that's it Super masarap na Kinilaw. Geez I am drooling now LOL!! ^_^

Yummy Sunday: Homemade potato soup
After my LH's Aunt shared the recipe of this homemade potato soup to me I already cooked it twice. Hubby likes it and so do I. It is a very simple dish with nothing so fancy about it. Aside from how easy to cook this dish it is also very nutritious. The first time I cook the dish I put a lot of potato and hubby commented to me that he likes more carrots and less potatoes so I change a little of the recipe. And anybody is entitled to change the ingredients of the recipe whatever it takes as long as you are happy about it and the people who you would like to share your dish is happy too.
3 potatoes, peeled, diced
2 or 3 carrots, peeled, chopped
1 med rib celery, chopped
onion, sliced (according to your liking to how much you put onion)
butter (2tbsp)
evaporated milk (according to how much you want to put)
salt
garlic powder to taste
dash of pepper
~~ Place potatoes, carrots, celery and onion in a 2 quart heavy pan and add water to cover. Bring to boil, then reduce to low heat. Cook until vegetables begin to soften. Stirring occasionally the starch in the potatoes will thicken the soup. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot!

It is kind of hard...
It's kind of hard to be on a diet when you love to cook. Yup it is hard for me to do that since whatever I like to cook I like to eat hehehehe. But the good thing though is that I knew what ingredients I put into my dish. Nothing is preservative nor junk ingredients I even don't want to put MSG on my dish because I like the best food enhancer better which is garlic, onion, tomatoes and all herbs that you could find depending on what dish are you cooking.
One time hubby and I visited one of his relative it was late in the afternoon and I guess it was dinner time for them. I was so surprised that the kids had a pizza for dinner??? Hello??? For me that is not a dinner food but just a snack lol!! No wonder many people get sick and here in US it is getting younger and younger because of how we eat here in America. I do believe that food contribute a lot to our health and if we don't eat good food we can't obtain a healthy body. Overall, it is better to cook and watch what I eat than don't eat at all but hey it should not be processed food.

Time to buy gold
Who doesn't love gold? Back when I was single and working I love to buy gold jewelries of course back then what is famous is the chinese gold and second in rank is the italian gold. Later I knew that there are many kinds of gold and most of them are not cheap.
I already knew that aside from buying stocks and commodities there is one good other investment and that is buying gold coins. I check Gold coins gain and found out it is worth investing your money for. Gold coins gain offer you a good price and they are helpful in guiding you with your investment. Aside from gold coins they have silver and platinum too. Gold coins gain has so much to offer so why invest now come and check it out.

Need auto insurance?
Learning how to drive here in US is the first thing that hubby and I was so busy about. I remember the first time I was behind the wheel and it was winter I ended up at the snowbank. I was so frustrated because hubby teaches me so many things sometimes my mind just wanted to explode. I ended up crying and so nervous after the driving practice. Many things came to my mind what if I bump a car? What if I had a car crash? What if I hit a pedestrian? All of this came boggling in my mind.
So then after I passed my road test hubby and I looked for an insurance company and found this one Auto Insurance Me they offer so many options. You can contact them and get some qoute. Each one of us has different needs and here in Auto Insurance Me you can choose according to your needs and wants for your auto insurance. So why not check Auto Insurance Me I am sure you will be please of there offer because I am.
