Thrifted & Layered

I have several layers to show...

                                                                         The cone
Who in the world will buy pine cones? If I go around the neighborhood I  can find plenty of them. This is more than thrift-ing because not a single cent is shed from my pocket. But just a stroll in the neighborhood will do. I was in this store and they have this huge wreath full of pine cones and mind you the price is too high. Here is my pine cone ready to be painted or glitterize ^_^

My Table setting since the beginning of Advent.
I have a good time layering dishes every weekend. To layer color is fun and putting colors in one place makes me feel happy. I don't buy expensive dishes, nope, they are all thrift-ed, that means finding it in garage sales, rummage sales, church sales, estate sales etc. and it is so cool because when I look online these stuff are expensive after all. It's just that some don't want it or two or more are missing and don't want it. I have one box of dishes and the old woman gave it to me for $4.00 and it  was there wedding present. She and her husband were married for 42 years (imagine how old those dishes are ^_^) and at that time she had a garage sale her husband passed away a year ago. I feel like okey this is like an inheritance and I took it right away. She told me some have chips on it but some don't because she took care of those dishes, my heart melted.

Treasure find

Here are my treasure find this week.

These are angels in different designs.

A huge lamp which I right away find the place.

A lantern which I so love. The bottom says it's from yankee candle.

                                                                    A bird bath
These treasures are free!! My step-daughter has a garage sale and she asked me to come and take as many items as I want lol.  Love it! Now I am linking to:

Thirfty Thursday: Plates

One of my favorite meme is here  again and this is Thrifty Thursday! Before Thanksgiving day, I went to our thrift store here and looked for  something nice for thanksgiving day. I remember I don't have a big plate of turkey after they are cut into pieces so I looked around and found this one... this is huge and the gold plated on the edges is still good looking. At the back it says Bavaria made is East Germany now I guess this one is a keeper ^_^ I bought this for $2.99...

As I was carrying the plate above wondering around the place and looking the shelves this little cutie caught my eyes....when I saw this cutie an idea came to my mind..this is good to put my dessert hmmm so I bought it for another $2.99..oh by the way anybody knew what is the name of this cutie?
