Hubby and I went to Port Huron today. It is where one of the bridge from Michigan, called Blue Water that link us to Canada. The weather was good and I had a good time taking picture of the bridge and the surroundings. Here are some of the the photos.
Last year we didn't go out for Valentines date because of the weather. But yesterday hubby and I choose to go somewhere for that special day. He let me choose the place and so I choose my favorite place and the name is Fuji Japanese Buffet. I love that place because I am Asian and I missed eating Asian food. Thankfully, hubby agree to the place and we had a good time yesterday.
I hope everyone had a good time last Valentines day.
I discover that in one of my fave grocery store they have a bag of 9 or 11 pieces of perch which only cost $9.00, yup the cost is not that bad after all. Come to think of it, if hubby and I will go to a restaurant (as we always do on Fridays for fish and chips) it cost as $9.99 each. Okey with this frozen perch that I discovered we will consume the whole pack for 3 meals or 4 depending on how many fish me and hubby wants. I am a fish eater, I came from a country (Philippines) that is surrounded with sea water and every day our market always has fresh fish. The other day I recreated the fish and chips minus the chips ^_^ I see to it that we eat at least once a day green leafy vegetable and here is what I come up.
Perch fish with cherry tomatoes, lettuce and my favorite vlasic bread and butter spear
It's Ruby Red Tuesday and Rednesday once again and this weeks entry of mine is about strawberries. This photo was taken last year at our neighbors strawberry farm. It was my first time to picked strawberries and be at a strawberry farm. When I was there I couldn't contain my happiness ^_^ I was very excited. The people in the farm assigned a patched for us to picked the strawberries. And what I discovered when you picked fresh and ripe strawberry they are very sweet and huge, I like to stay there forever lol! This year I am planning to be back again in the farm and I'm planning to make strawberry jellies this year, will see. ^_^
MACOPA... also known as Malay apple or Tersana rose apple. When I was young we used to visit my maternal grandparents in the country side and at the back of their house this fruit tree was located. As soon as we touched our feet on the ground we ran like crazy going to the backyard just to climb up the tree and ate this fruit right on top. My parents would holler at us to climb down since we haven't pay our respect (by kissing the hands of our grandparents) first to our grandparents ^_^. I remember one time me and my brother agreed to have a climbing race going to the top of the tree of course I won but my pants got ripped hehehehehe. Those were the days.
