flash so I can really see the texture of the seeds in the middle.

Yesterday, hubby and I went to Oakland Sportsman club to have there famous fish and chips. While we are waiting for our turn to get our food (it's eat all you can fish and chicken ^_^) I saw the table where all the dessert are displayed. And for the first time I was drawn to one beautiful and colorful pie and here it is.
Well tomorrow will be the start of strawberry picking here in my area. The strawberry farm is not that far from our house. But I won't come tomorrow maybe this coming Saturday I will. I am already drooling to eat fresh and sweet strawberry compare to what I bought from store.
Last year we didn't go out for Valentines date because of the weather. But yesterday hubby and I choose to go somewhere for that special day. He let me choose the place and so I choose my favorite place and the name is Fuji Japanese Buffet. I love that place because I am Asian and I missed eating Asian food. Thankfully, hubby agree to the place and we had a good time yesterday.

My entry for today's Ruby Tuesday and Rednesday is this dessert that I ate last Friday at Red Knapps. I was not hungry when we went out for dinner so I ordered this sinful dessert *geezz* as far as I can remember the name of this is chocolate hot fudge caramel with cherry isn't it too sinful?? But I didn't ate this all alone I shared it with my husband and my brother and sister in law (couldn't take it alone) and the funny thing (don't know to some) after we got home I run 30 minutes on the thread mill, that frees me from guilt. ^+^
It's Ruby Tuesday and Rednesday again and as any other meme's I am excited with this one. My feature of this week is all about Holly
The first time I set my eyes on this tree is when I first came here in US in 2004. It was fall when I arrived here and everything was all brown and it was cold. Coming from a tropical country Philippines the weather and the surrounding was very new to me I had to adjust a lot. But of all the barrenness kind of feeling that engulfed me the holly berries makes me smile. One time I was so fascinated by it I couldn't help but walk near it and touched it. I like it so much because of the very distinct red color and at the back of my mind how come this is the only tree that produces color on the brown and white surrounding. Well then I knew later that they survive winter for the animals or birds for their shelter and food. Though hubby told me that they are poisonous or mildly toxic when ingested by people, (I didn't knew that), I thought all berries can be eaten like strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, blackberry (is that the cellphone? ^_^) blueberry, mulberry (can't stop eating with this one just love it), elderberries, etc ^_^ but I guess in every rule there is always an exception hehe and the holly berry is one of them.
