Peanut, peanut! Mani, mani kayo dyan are the words that I often heard when I am at a bus station or at the park, or even outside the church, in the Philippines. Here in the US I kind of missed it. The other day I was craving for a "penato" it's a cooked peanut and coated with caramel dark sugar. But since I can't find it here, I did remember I have a packed of uncooked peanuts I bought from the Oriental store so I cooked it immediately. With just the memory of my childhood I managed to pull out my first fried peanut with a lots of garlic. Here is what it looks.
