Well here is the thing....I don't know if you guys and gals are familiar with "gay crabs" but in my hometown that is what we look for in choosing or buying crabs. I was at the Oriental store last week and on that day there crabs arrived from the east coast (I guess). Anyway, I was there for almost an hour trying to figure out if I am going to buy a crabs or not because when I looked at the back of the crabs they are not "gay crabs" or bayot, lol!! I don't know where those fish vendor from our hometown get these term but when I first knew it I said "are you kidding me?" And my friend fish vendor told me she isn't. And so she took a guy and a gal crab then the gay crab and compare it. She said take this three along with all the gay crabs and cooked them. When they are cooked opened their behind and tell me who is the fattest...and lo and behold it's the gay crab!!! It stuck that idea to my mind then last week I was looking for the gay crab but couldn't find it. But since I was there, I still bought 10lbs of not so gay crabs. As it is being told....when I cooked the crabs...none was fat...and none of them are gay crabs....ain't that something??? Anyway, I had a good time eating the crabs though I haven't find the "aligue". Here is the pic.
