In the Philippines particularly in my hometown, we call this squid lumayagan because it's too small to be called squid. Early in the morning several fish vendor go around the town shouting "Lumayagan" that means they have Lumayagan for sale and usually they also sell other fish with them. Well I like this in the morning with fried rice!! So my mom or dad will call the fish vendor and sell her/his stuff to us by kilo. Usually my parents will buy one kilo or two because when this is cooked it will shrink. And aside from that we all love it and sometimes there is nothing left, lol! The other day a friend of mine cooked this and as usual I so love it I ate it with my rice!
People who don't know this think that it looks weird. The black color is the ink that comes from the squid. The more it has an ink the more it is yummy! As you see it's almost nothing left, Filipinos love this.Linking this post to Luscious Saturday

Hi Kim,
Thanks for your comment on my SkyWatch post. I checked some of your other blogs, but didn't find a SkyWatch photo. I decided to leave my comment on this post. That stuff does not look like something so good to me, but I have tried things before that didn't look good, and they turned out OK.
Have a great weekend!
