Friday My Town Shoot-Out~ Country Roads

In the Philippines particularly in my place the highways looks like a country roads here. And that is what I am going to feature this week theme.
I was thinking how my brother could overtake this?
But he manage to do it. And as I took this picture from the car this two people are smiling at us. I showed this to my husband and he just smiled because he has been to the Philippines six times and he sees more daring acrobatic scene like this one. At the back of the motorcycle is the long hard stem of the coconut leaves. The uses of that is for firewood. I learned to drive here in US but if somebody will ask me if I will drive in the Philippines, my answer is a big NO! ^_^ Happy weekend everyone! Don't forget to visit and see more photos at Friday My Town Shoot Out.

Philippines country road are very similar like the ones in Malaysia but not in Singapore , there's nothing like the typical country road here. I almost didn't participate this week, but managed to find some 'country roads' here in Singapore. Come have a look.

Well, that's certainly an unusual sight. It's great to see shots from so many different parts of the world.

Accck!!! That is so scary! Funny, too. You just don't see that here in the US very much:motorcycles being used to the max, and smiling at the same time. Great shot.

Oh my gosh, that reminds me of my dad pulling us on the back of his truck, and back then on country roads in Texas you could do most anything- Wow, if I did not see it I might not believe how big those stems are, lol! How long does that burn for firewood? For cooking? Of course I would ask that, lol, being a chef! Does it give off a good smell in the food? Tell me more!

did realise that the coconut leaves are so long. Very illustrious t=of the philipino people. My dad had coconut trees, we never thought they can be used as fire wood.

I agree, That surely does rock!! That looks like such fun. Being on the bike I mean, not trying to overtake. Great interpretation of the theme!!
