Lechon Pork belly

This is it. The dish that makes your blood pressure (alta presyon)  shoot like a rocket ship.  The other day hubby took my two slobs (hehehe) pork belly from the freezer. I didn't cooked this pork belly yet because here in the US, we can't find pork belly in an ordinary grocery or supermarket specially with skin. So we have to drove almost an hour to get to an Oriental store.
That day hubby I think was craving for pork. And because I sense it I let him cooked it hehe. Well actually I ended up putting the seasoning and setting the oven. It takes I think almost an hour to make the skin crispy and the inside is tender and cooked. When it was done I was into the skin while hubby was to the lean meat. It does taste lechon!! Love it with vinegar and a little bit of fish sauce. And with rice I forgot my diet! I set the over to 350F for an hour but constantly checking on it because I want both sides to be cooked most specially the skin. So I flip it from time to time. I seasoned it with lemon juice first, then salt then garlic salt rub it well. I put it in a cookie sheet and don't cover.

I was scrolling through my "follow" list and the picture of this pork made me "click!" lol
It looks amazing and I'll have to try that sometime. What temperature do you set the oven at? And how big is it (in pounds?)

Diyos ko, nakakatakam nga Kim kaya lang bawal na bawal sa akin dahil me hypertension ako at diabetes kaya it's a no no for me, hehehe. Pero paboritong paborito ko yan nuon. Niluluto ko yan nuon sa kumukulong mantika o sa turbo broiler o sa nabili naming electric skillet nang Salad Master. Well, those were the days when I can still indulge in rich food. Ngayon puro gulay, isda at prutas na lang. Nakita ko yung comment mo kay Umma and I am glad that people there especially your husband like your tan skin. Maganda talaga tayong mga Pinoy, di bah? hehehe. Thanks for the yummy post. God bless you all always.

This really looks so delicious. It makes me crave for lechon now, but I better not to dare eat it yet for my health sake.
