Suman

Suman is a Filipino rice cake steamed in banana leaves. The ingredient of suman is the glutenous rice (malagkit) which is cooked with coconut milk (gata). Among the many varieties are suman sa ibos, suman sa lihiya. Few weeks ago a bunch of friends went to our friends house and made suman. This is how it look when you peel the banana leaves. You can deep the suman with sugar, or brown sugar and with hot pure cocoa (sikwati) and or coffee it does taste good.
