VTT: Old cash register

Remember the old cash register? My Uncle and Aunt had a restaurant before and I remember growing up that their cash register is black but not this kind. I think this one is very old.  I spotted  this cash register inside a natural health food store  I immediately took a picture so here it is.

    I enjoyed seeing that old cash register again. I have seen them in so many different stores in the past.

    What a neat cash register! I have a friend in Illinois that has a brass one, with a marble plate to set the money down on when you open the drawer - amazingly lovely works of art compared to what we use today!

    That's really quite lovely! I find that I am seeing more and more of these in small local stores, restored to perfect working order and used instead of modern machines. How cool!

    oh that register is beautiful. I absolutely love it! I am so glad you thought to get a picture of it. Oh and thanks for the tip on my kettle's tattoo :) Maybe she is old after all.
